JAM Pedals also made Barry’s personal NAMM Favorites list:

“There is so much great new gear at the show this year that it is difficult to choose favorites, but here is a tiny sampling of pedals that caught my ear:

Jam Pedals

Where to begin? These pedals are handmade in Greece and they look and sound fantastic. Jam makes everything from quasi-clones of ’60s and ’70s classics to entirely original designs such as the Big Chill “super tremolo” and custom multi-effect combos in far out casings. The paint jobs alone are worth the price of entry. I’ll be shooting video at the Jam Pedal booth later today.”

We were honoured to have Warren Haynes agree to test a number of Effects Pedals and Amp prototypes while he was in Toronto on September 14, 2011. Warren tested two T1 Amps (hand wired, new old stock components) and the full range of JAM Pedals and Crazy Tube Circuits.

Warren requested a number of JAM and CTC pedals and would like to test the T1 Amps in studio and on tour. The two T1 Amps would have distinct uses, Warren Haynes Band and The Allman Brothers Band (T1 Historic PK45 / JTM45 Inspired)

We are thrilled to have Warren come on board and will be supplying him with Crazy Tube Circuits PIN UP Fuzz, Vyagra Boost, Splash Mk. 2 Reverb, Time Delay (Analog/Digital Hybrid), and Stardust “Blackface” pedals, along with JAM Delay Llama+ (Analog Delay with Hold Switch), Waterfall (Chorus), TubeDreamer+, Red Muck, Fuzz Phrace and Chill (Tremolo).

The bottom line, after testing backstage, seven players on the tour used JAM Pedals during the Toronto concert and have become endorsees.

Los Lobos

Cesar Rosas: JAM Retrovibe, JAM Boomster, JAM DelayLLama+ (Waterfall on order)

David Hidalgo: JAM Waterfall, JAM Red Muck

David and Cesar also tested the T1 Amps PK45 Prototype and were very impressed. He hope to build a couple for Los Lobos! I can't say enough about how warm and welcoming David and Cesar were, especially to my 14 year old son Alexander who had the thrill of seeing his stars backstage and watching the concert from the side of the stage.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd: JAM DelayLLama+

Kenny was the first to test the whole line of JAM Pedals and T1 Amp prototype in his dressing room. His comments were very helpful and he chose to use the DelayLlama+ during the concert.

Jonny Lang: DelayLlama+

Jonny Lang tested the JAM Pedals and T1 Amp after Kenny. Jonny also chose the JAM DelayLlama+ and placed it in this Experience Hendrix tour pedal board. Here is a picture of Jonny testing the JAM Pedals backstage .

Chuck Campbell – JAM Waterfall

Darick Campbell – JAM Fuzz Phrase

As David Hidalgo of Los Lobos said, its (not so) Sacred Steel anymore as Robert Randolph, Chuck and Darick Campbell all used JAM Pedals on stage with Experience Hendrix. Robert and Chuck were amazed at how good the JAM Waterfall sounded with their Pedal Steels. Darick used the JAM Fuzz Phrase in his rig.

Brad Whitford (Aerosmith)

Brad was in on the tests and asked for a card. We hope to ask him to the ToneConcepts and JAM Pedals Family of artists.

The JAM Pedals Waterfall was reviewed in Premier Guitar Magazine's November issue. The Verdict?

The Verdict

Rich, smooth, or wild, the Waterfall chorus is a pedal of great depth and flexibility. Both Chorus and Vibrato settings are very warm and musical. But this is also a pedal that can work for those inclined toward more radical use of modulation effects. This range—combined with the Waterfall’s no-compromise quality, NOS-based circuitry, and hand-built look—make this one of the most remarkable chorus pedals made today.

Buy if… you are looking for a chorus and vibrato effect that sounds as good as it looks.
Skip if… you’re not concerned with having a vintage chorus made of rare NOS chips or if you want a digital effect.
